Parking at Málaga Airport
Aena’s official car parks by the terminals — Express, General P1, long-stay and VIP.
AGP keeps parking official and simple: four Aena car park types by the terminals, booked online with number-plate entry — and no published flat rate, because Aena prices by date at booking time.
The official car parks
| Express car park | ≈450 spaces by the terminal — free for stays under 10 minutes. For quick pick-ups and drop-offs only. |
|---|---|
| General car park (P1) | Serves Terminals 2 and 3; access via Av. del Comandante García Morato 63. The standard choice for trips of a few days. |
| Long-stay car park | For longer trips — compare the quote against a taxi both ways before committing. |
| VIP parking | Premium option close to the terminal — quoted at booking like the rest. |
| Arrivals car park | Short-stay parking on the arrivals side for meeting incoming passengers. |
| Booking | Online in advance at parking.aena.es (or the Aena app) — consistently cheaper than the drive-up tariff |
| Entry | Number-plate recognition — the barrier reads your plate; keep your booking confirmation on your phone |
How the pricing works
Aena does not publish a fixed AGP price list — the quote depends on your dates and how far ahead you book, calculated on its official parking booking page. Two things are consistent: booking online in advance beats the drive-up tariff, and longer stays get a progressively lower daily rate. We deliberately don’t print “from €X/day” figures here; they would be out of date within weeks.
Practical tips
- Express means express. Ten free minutes is Aena’s figure — a long goodbye at the kerb can tip you into a charge.
- Screenshot your booking. Phone signal in concrete parking structures is patchy; keep the reservation QR offline.
- Drop-off vs parking. If someone is just dropping you off, use the Express car park or forecourt — don’t pay P1 rates to say goodbye.
- Long trip math. For 2+ weeks, add up the long-stay quote and compare with a taxi both ways (metered, roughly €20 each way to the city). Taxis often win.
